What is prediabetes?

Prediabetes is an illness in which blood sugar levels are higher than normal, but not high enough to be considered diabetes.  People with prediabetes have a greater risk of getting type 2 diabetes, heart problems, and having a stroke.  Fear not, you have the power to stop prediabetes and type 2!

Where can I get help to prevent type 2 diabetes?

The Diabetes Prevention Program(DPP) is a group program that helps people change habits to lower their chance of getting type 2 diabetes. Coaches work with groups to help them lose weight through healthy eating, being more active, and learning how to break bad habits. DPP includes 16 weekly classes, followed by 6 monthly classes.
